Mr. Rob Reyes joined the board of trustees in 2011, and is in his third term as a school board member. His current term ends in 2020.

Mr. Reyes has made it clear that his priority while on the board is to work collaboratively with the community, public and private sectors to seek innovative ways to bring financial, intellectual and human resources to PfISD to enhance student success.

“The future success of students in our district is dependent on our community’s ability to work together to solve the many complex issues surrounding school financing. I look forward to being part of the dialogue that presents solutions.”

Mr. Reyes is a native of San Antonio, but he has set down new roots in Pflugerville where he is the father of two PfISD students and his wife Karen is employed by the district. He obtained his education in San Antonio beginning with an associate degree in liberal arts from San Antonio College followed by a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Civically, Mr. Reyes is committed to making a positive difference in the Pflugerville community. He is a dedicated advocate of education-related issues from kindergarten preparedness to college readiness. Before joining the school board he served on the boards of the Pflugerville Education Foundation and the Austin Community College Center for Public Policy Priorities.

In recent years he has served as the fundraising chair of a local Boy Scout organization, as a member of the parish council at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and on leadership boards of the Leander Education Foundation, Comal ISD Education Foundation, Acts Missions Ministry of the Third Cross, House of Neighborly Services and Rebuilding Together.

Mr. Reyes has more than eight years of experience as a strategic business development planner in the business world. He has worked for a large international engineering firm, a national construction management firm and a regional construction company.
