  • Red Ribbon Week

Posted by Marcial Guajardo on 10/25/2019

We will celebrate Red Ribbon Week at Riojas Elementary School during the week of Oct. 28 to Nov. 1. This year’s nationwide theme is, “Send a Message. Stay Drug Free.” Each day we will wear a different item to remind ourselves to make healthy choices.  Here is the calendar:

    • Monday, Oct. 28:  Wear red because “we are RED-y to send the message that we live a drug-free life.”
    • Tuesday, Oct. 29: Dress in pajamas because your choices are key to your dreams!
    • Wednesday, Oct. 30: Wear crazy socks and/or crazy hair because head to toe, we are drug free!
    • Thursday, Oct. 31: Dress up as a book character because drugs are not in our character!
    • Friday, Nov. 1: Wear a hat because we use our heads to make smart choices.

Thank you for helping us celebrate Red Ribbon Week!

  • Fun Run update

Posted by Marcial Guajardo on 10/17/2019 11:00:00 AM

    Parents,

We had to adjust the times for our actual RUN on Oct. 24. The new times by grade level are listed below.

Please make sure to register your child on Funrun.com! We want every student to be able to participate in the rewards and incentives that are happening every day at RES! Registering will help them get to celebrate with their class, their grade level and our school, regardless of how much money individual students are able to raise.

PTO will be sending out a revised sign up genius for volunteering at the Fun Run!

The new Fun Run schedule is:

    • PK 7:50-8:20 (30 minutes- They will have their own smaller track.)
    • 4th and 5th Grade: 8:20-9:15
    • Kinder and 2nd Grade 9:15-10:10
    • 3rd and 1st Grade: 10:10-11:05

I hope to see you at school sometime soon,

    Christi Siegel, Principal

    Riojas Elementary School
