Dear Timmerman Families
We are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational software company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning. For that reason, we are reaching out to ask you to take part in the Clarity questionnaire. Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in your students’ lives.
If you have students at multiple campuses, please complete one survey for each campus using the link provided by the campus. This process ensures each campus has the appropriate information for their student population. Multiple responses are not necessary for siblings on the same campus.
The survey will take approximately 5 minutes. Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy. PfISD values parent feedback and we appreciate your input.
Please use the link below to begin the survey.

Thank you for the support you gave our students this week as they took their first STAAR tests for the year. J The philosophy that it takes “a village” to raise a child is true. We are so thankful for your partnership with Timmerman. Have a wonderful weekend.

We'll be Reading ‘Round the CamPFire!
April 3-7, 2017
Preview day will be on Monday. Sales will run Tuesday through Friday at 1:00. To come before school, students must come with an adult or get a pass from Ms. Barnes in the cafeteria. The book fair will be open until 7:00pm on Tuesday. People who make a donation to All for Books on Tuesday evening will have a chance to go PFishing for freebies and discounts or to make a s'more. This is a chance to read 'round the camPFire with friends and family (PFake PFire, of course).
We will collect donations for All for Books all week long. These donations help students and teachers get books from our book fair. As a bonus, Scholastic is matching donations to share with libraries across the country. This spring, we will have a wish tree for classroom libraries and to help buy books for students who might not otherwise be able to afford them.
If you can volunteer, please let Mrs. McCoy know. Preview flier and wish tree preparation could be done at home. The most important times at school are set up, before school, the end of the day, Tuesday evening, and take down.
If you can help at any point during the week, you can sign up here:
Let me know if you have questions or need help signing up!

Note from the Library:
There are many ways to read! Giving children access to multiple reading formats supports reading and learning for many of our students. As a bonus, they're fun!
We have received a trial of e-books from OverDrive which students can read at school or at home. The e-books will work with desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones. Many of the books have a read-aloud feature that includes text highlighting. They also offer a built-in dictionary and searching features. Please contact me if you would like the login information, help using them, or have feedback!
We also have a shelf of audio books with CDs or PlayAways. We have CD players and headphones to borrow as well. Like all library materials, they are free to borrow. Because they can be expensive if lost or damaged, there is a parent permission form for these.
As a reminder, parents can sign up for library accounts here at Timmerman. Library cards at the Pflugerville Public Library across the street are free to families living in the district. They also have e-books and audiobooks to borrow.
