Park Crest Middle School students have been recognized for their hard work on a video produced to promote the school.
Students in Lynn Layman’s broadcast class worked together to write, shoot and edit a video about what sets Park Crest apart from other schools for PCTV and entered it into this year’s annual Texas Association of School Boards Student Video Contest.
Park Crest won the People’s Choice Award for the middle school division and its video has received prominent placement on the contest website for all to view.
“This is such a great honor and recognition for our students in Ms. Layman’s broadcast group,” Principal Zach Kleypas said. “At Park Crest we have a motto to ‘keep improving, always, in all ways,’ and this group of students has shown what Pumas can do when they put their minds to achieving a goal. The work Ms. Layman puts in with her students should also be recognized in this because she has clearly done a tremendous job with them in order to produce a great video and win this award.”
All winning videos for elementary, middle and high school divisions can all be seen on the TASB contest website as well.
