Summer Reading Opportunities
Research talks about the importance of summer reading to help kids continue to grow in their skills and ability. We here at Wieland want reading to be fun and enjoyable.
There are many ways you can incorporate reading into your summer schedules, and it is easy to motivate your kids.
From our own campus library, and Ms. VanDeWater, you can participate in summer reading bingo. Check out the forms for the correct grade below, students can read and bring the form back to Ms. VanDeWater in August to get prizes.
Of course - you want to check out the Pflugerville Public Library where you can get a free library card and check out books. You can also participate in their summer reading program and attend free events.
While you are reading to complete the Wieland Bingo, or add minutes to the Pflugerville Library, you can also earn free books or money towards books.
No matter what your summer plans are, be sure to include a good book.
