January Sentinel 2019

Welcome to 2019! I hope everyone had a restful break and is ready to have great new year. The Spring semester moves even faster than the fall semester. We will keep you informed through the Sentinel and weekly flyers sent out on Wednesdays.
Thank you to PTO for our very successful Cocoa with Santa event and having affordable gifts for families at the Shark Shop. We are grateful for the work that our PTO does to keep our teachers, students, and community engaged.
Now is the time for setting resolutions. Resolutions are really about setting personal goals. Goal setting is an important step for success. A great conversation to have with your child might be to talk to them about setting a resolution for themselves. You can also share a resolution, if you have one, and talk about how you can encourage one another to achieve. Here is a link to an article on making resolutions with kids https://www.parents.com/holiday/new-years/resolution/smart-new-years-resolutions-kids-can-make/
Please join us for our Family STEAM night on Thursday, January 17. STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. We’ll have Science Fair Projects on display, and fun family actitivies for all.
As always, please let us know if you have a question or concern that we can help with. We are here to serve you. If you need to refer back to the Sentinel, the campus website is http://www.pfisd.net//site/Default.aspx?PageID=53

Bienvenido a 2019!
PageID=53
