I love my school because it’s a community. We support each other. When I started there were so many teachers who stepped up and stepped in to make sure I felt empowered as a new teacher. They gave me supplies, furniture , and helped me get my footing.

I love that Connally High School embraces the culture of each child who walks into this building. Our school has built up an atmosphere of intention and togetherness within our student population. I felt that when I went to Connally, and I still see it in our classrooms and spaces now as a coach and teacher.

One of the best things about our girls attending Pflugerville ISD is the Dual Language program that reinforces their Spanish language. Having two young children in public school almost guarantees that their home language would be replaced with English. Having the option of continuing their Spanish development at school is such a benefit.

One thing that I love about working here is that we are such a beautifully diverse community. We are rich in linguistic diversity, racial diversity, spiritual diversity, and that just is such a privilege to exist in.

One of my favorite things about our school district is the cultural diversity we have. It is one of the most diverse school districts in Central Texas. For me, that creates an environment where we can truly learn from each other. Where our children are learning from people who may not look like them, may not be like them and have so many differences, but we find our commonalities.
