Out of School & Out of District Registration for STAAR
Out of school (OOS) and out of district (OOD) students may pre-register for STAAR administrations in PfISD by contacting the state's testing contractor. OOS & OOD students are typically students who temporarily reside in PfISD, students who did not receive a diploma because they have not passed all required tests, and students in other similar situations. Pre-registering with the state's testing contractor ensures that test materials will be available and results are properly reported.Registration usually closes 3-4 weeks prior to each scheduled test administration. If not pre-registered, please submit a request using the link below. If space and materials are available, we will make an effort to include you if you missed the deadline to register with the state's testing contractor.Upon arrival at the campus on the morning of your test, you will be required to present a photo ID or some other form of identification that can be verified. Cell phones and all other electronic devices are not allowed in test sites and should not be in your possession while you are testing on a PfISD campus.A student who is not enrolled in PfISD may submit this request to participate in the July STAAR EOC Administration. Students should first register with the state's testing contractor as noted above. -
Out of School Registration for Students who Did Not Receive High School Diploma
Students who did not receive a diploma because they have not passed all required tests should contact the Campus Testing Coordinator of the last high school attended. Further information is available from TEA at this link. -
PSAT & Other College Board Assessment Programs
The PSAT/NMSQT will be given in mid October of every school year. The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) provides first-hand practice in critical reasoning, math problem-solving and writing skills which are found on the SAT reasoning test. Any home-schooled student who resides in the Pflugerville Independent School District may participate in the PSAT/NMSQT and/or any college advanced placement test offered by the District. Proof of residence is required, and will be used to determined the zoned campus. Home-schooled student registration must be done prior to the College Board deadline for U.S. schools to increase PSAT/NMSQT test book orders. More information can be found on the College Board website.PfISD also offers PSAT 8/9 and Advanced Placements Tests. More information on the AP program is available here.
