Career and Technical Education (CTE)

  • CTE cover photo

Pflugerville ISD CTE programs provide career and post-secondary preparation for over 8,000 students across the District in all four comprehensive high schools, PACE, and the seven middle schools.

Our programs provide students with authentic, rigorous, and relevant experiences, like

    • Engaging with industry experts through guest speaking, tours, projects, and internships
    • Earning college credit
    • Learning and practicing academic knowledge and technical skills in simulated industry environments on campus
    • Developing employability and technical skills in off-campus industry settings
    • Building leadership skills through Career Technical Student Organizations

Central Texas continues to grow and attract more businesses, which means more opportunities for Pflugerville graduates. PfISD CTE collaborates with partners to implement programs that prepare students for career and postsecondary success in high-wage, in-demand occupations, and provide employers with a work-ready pool of candidates. Whether a student plans to pursue a 4-year degree, community college credential, technical certificate, apprenticeship, enlist in the military, or join the workforce directly, there is a CTE program for every student.

  • National CTE Month logoCTE Month is a national celebration of the impact of CTE on learners, families, educators, our workforce, and our communities! We join the nation in celebrating the teachers, counselors and administrators who provide students with quality CTE programs that prepare them for high-wage, high-skill, and in-demand occupations. We also recognize our industry partners who add value to CTE programs in Texas by enabling students to have engaging work-based learning experiences, and inform program development and curriculum. As we celebrate National CTE month, we are grateful for all who prepare our students for college, career, and military postsecondary success.
