• Windermere Update: 12/6

Posted by David Wiechmann on 12/6/2021

    Good morning Windermere Family,

Happy Monday! I just wanted to reach out and share some WES information with you! THANK YOU so much for all of the Thanksgiving Pies! Our well-deserved staff were so thankful.

    • We have 9 more school days until the Winter Break and we are continuing to encourage positive behavior. Please help us by speaking with your child(ren) in the evening, discussing their day, encouraging positive choices and following all school/classroom expectations.
    • We also want to stress the importance of students being at school, on time, each and every day! We want to see the students learning, happy and healthy each day - as daily attendance is very important! The tardy bell rings each day at 7:35 a.m. and students are expected to be ready for learning at this time.
    • We have a lot of clothing and hats in the lost and found. Please send a note to your child's teacher if something is missing, so that they can find time to search together.
    • Wednesday, December 8 - Please look for the 3rd grade Winter Performance to be sent, virtually.
    • Saturday, December 11 - Pre-K through 2nd grade students will be able to participate in Literacy Day at WES. The flyer will be coming home this week with your child.
    • Next Friday, December 17, we will be having class parties. Teachers will be in communication about specifics but it's important to know that the only snacks and drinks permitted are to be store-bought and individually packaged. Again, teachers will have more information specific to their class parties. Please know that this is a 1/2 day at school with dismissal at noon Please make arrangements to have your children picked up on time from school.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday season and we look forward to a wonderful 2022,

    Dr. Trenae Hill, Principal
    Windermere Elementary

    Windermere Elementary family,

I am back and it's been a week of firsts for me all over again! I have already built a relationship with kids and staff members that I didn't get a chance to prior to leaving. That makes me happy and excited for the positive relationships moving forward! We are beginning a new month and new beginnings! Please encourage your child to be the best them they can be, as I will encourage them here as well! Enjoy your Thanksgiving break in a few short weeks!

    Happy Sunday,

Thank you for a great first week! We have received tons of positive feedback and we appreciate it! We also have received feedback that will help us improve our systems. THANK YOU for it all! I especially appreciate the parents that have reached out via phone or email to allow me the opportunity to collaborate and explain the "why" behind some very important systems. We are all in this together for our kids and I am here to support you!

Please see this newsletter and take the time to read each section. There's a lot of clarity and it addresses many misconceptions. The amazing car rider video will give you great insight to our new plan! You will also have the opportunity to view Mrs. Richards' newsletter as well. She is our awesome new counselor!

PfISD Update - Effective tomorrow, Monday, August 16th - Masks are REQUIRED.

Thank you for your continued support,
    Trenae Hill, Ed.D.
