Unit Grade 6 Grade 7 Grade 8 1Find that Number: Students will use web-enabled device to discover, locate and work with equivalent numbers on a number line.Identifying Rational Numbers: Students will create a Google Draw document to illustrate the relationship within subsets of rational numbers.Numbers on a number line: Student will use an interactive web tool to create and add points to the line to demonstrate 5 -10 whole numbers, integers, real numbers and irrational number estimates.2 Modeling Fraction Division: Students will use online Cusenaire rods to demonstrate fraction division, use the snipping tool to save the image and create a Google doc to explain the process.
Slope: Students will use a shared Google spreadsheet and create graphs to represent how a change in slope or the y-intercept changes the graphed line.
Modeling Equations: Students will use the Numbers Web App to represent the equation and then "snip" the solution and add it to a collaborative Google Doc to explain the steps to the modeled solution.
3 PAPBalancing an Equation: Student will create a shared Google Doc, insert screen shots of solved equations from Illuminations and write WHY the model represents the solved equation.PAPProportional and non-proportional: Students will create a Google form to create quiz questions that use verbal descriptions, graphical displays and tabular data to represent algebraic equations.Proportional and non-proportional: Students will create a Google form to create quiz questions that use verbal descriptions, graphical displays and tabular data to represent algebraic equations.
4 Inequalities on a number line: Students will work with inequalities on a interactive number line.
Rates, Ratios and Proportions: Students will create a paper slideshow video demonstration one or more assigned problem.
Slope, equations and the real world: Students will use District Online Resources to search for images that represent real world slope and determine the formula that matches the image.
5 Linear Graphing: Students will create a table and apply a formula to graph an equation.PAPRates, Ratios and Proportions: Students will create a paper slideshow video demonstrating one assigned problem.Scale City - Similar Figures: Students will work in collaborate groups to complete the PBS activity and create a Google Doc to Proof measurements of real world objects using similar figures.
GeoBoard Images: Students will use the online app to demonstrate how the grid relates to graph points.6 Equivalents: Students will produce a Google Slides representing equivalent fractions, decimals and percents.PAPBig Ideas and Understandings: Students will build a Board in Discovery Education to represent a unit idea and their understanding by providing several images and models.Explain THAT: Students will use Board Building in Discovery Education to produe a Board that represents their understanding of Pythagorean and Parallel lines and angles.7 Coming Soon
