• PfISD Employee of the Month

    Outstanding PfISD employees/substitutes are recognized at the District level, both as a reward for exceptional performance and as a model to other employees. Based upon nominations from other PfISD staff, PfISD will name a Professional Support and a Substitute Employee of the Month (EOM) each month. Any PfISD employee/substitute can nominate another employee as EOM. Once the Employees of the Month are determined, they will be recognized by the Board of Trustees and on the PfISD website. We think this will be a great way to recognize employees/substitutes who are observed going above and beyond in PfISD. For each month's EOM, nominations will be accepted through the 15th of the prior month.

    November 2021 Professional Employee of the Month

    Johanna Harmon: Family and Consumer Science, Weiss High School

    Johanna HarmonJohanna Harmon has been selected as PfISD November Professional Employee of the Month. Ms. Harmon began with the district as a guest educator, before accepting an educational assistant position at Mott Elementary in 2019. She later became a certified teacher.

    Her colleagues describe her as an incredible team player, continuing to express positivity to students and staff, and using positive classroom management strategies even during difficult times.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    November 2021 Support Employee of the Month

    Mike Hill: Senior administrative associate, Mott Elementary

    Mike HillMike Hill has been selected as our November Support Employee of the Month. Mr. Hill has been with the district since 2018.

    His peers described him as always willing to help, pleasant, polite and calming and at work early in the morning and late in the day to ensure all is prepared for the following day.

     

     

     

     

    November 2021 Guest Educator of the Month Brian Ewell

    Brian Ewell: Cele Middle School

    Brian Ewell has been selected as the PfISD Guest Educator of the Month for November. He assisted at Kelly Lane Middle School last year and at Cele Middle this year as a Long Term Guest Educator for a Career and Technical Education class.

    Mr. Ewell has been described as upbeat and positive with all students and staff, consistently encouraging his students to do their best and working hard to provide meaningful and engaging classwork.

    Elizabeth WaldropElizabeth Waldrop: English I Teacher: Weiss High School
     
    Elizabeth Waldrop has been selected as the October Professional Employee of the Month. Waldrop has been with Pflugerville ISD since 2007, starting her career at Pflugerville High School before moving to Weiss High School.

    Her peers describe her as dedicated to students, an advocate for her colleagues, and unstoppable.

    Kristina Coffee: Special Education educational associate
     
    Kristina CoffeeKristina Coffee has been selected as PfISD October Support Employee of the Month. Ms. Coffee has been with Pflugerville ISD since 2015, the entire time at Connally High School.

    Her colleagues describe her as optimistic and enthusiastic, always exceeding expectations and amazing to work with. She is currently assisting with leading a classroom.
     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    October 2021 Guest Educator of the Month

    Alma Saavedra: Highland Park Elementary guest educator

    Alma SaavedraNew to Pflugerville ISD, Alma Saavedra has been assisting at Highland Park Elementary, supporting a Pre-K class.

    She was described as ever cheerful, ready to offer support to a high needs class, gentle in nature and always willing to nurture and encourage her students.
