    July 21, 2020

University Interscholastic League (UIL) on Tuesday announced modifications to its 2020-21 calendar that will impact extracurricular activities statewide, especially fall sports and fine arts programs.

For Pflugerville ISD Athletics, the announcement means a delay in the start to some fall sports, as UIL sought to protect highly populated areas dealing with COVID-19 challenges. UIL provided delays in fall sports start times for Class 6A and 5A, which includes all PfISD high school athletics programs.

However, after much uncertainty due to the COVID-19 situation, the UIL decision gives the green light to the kickoff of fall sports.
