Election 2022

  • On August 18, 2022, the Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved orders calling for the following:

    • an Attendance Credit Election (ACE) which allows Pflugerville ISD to make the mandatory recapture payments required due to the increase in its property tax wealth through the purchase of attendance credit,

    • a Voter Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) to approve four additional pennies to the District's M&O tax rate,

    • and a $367,604,000 bond election that will address PfISD safety and security, enhance technology and related infrastructure, accommodate growth in student enrollment, update aging conditions, address evolving student programs and equity across campuses, and provide affordable teacher housing in Pflugerville ISD.

These elections will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 and, if approved by voters, the overall PfISD tax rate will still decrease by 12 cents in this fiscal year.

The ACE, VATRE and bond proposal will be presented to voters in eight ballot propositions, A-H:

    • Proposition A – Attendance Credit Election (ACE)

    • Proposition B – Voter Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE)

    • Proposition C – Safety and Security, Land, School Building Additions and Renovations, Infrastructure and Improvements

    • Proposition D – Technology Devices for Students and Staff, and Related Infrastructure

    • Proposition E – Performing Arts Center Renovations

    • Proposition F – Scoreboard and Wiring Improvements

    • Proposition G – District-wide Career and Technical Education (CTE) center

    • Proposition H – Affordable Teacher Housing

Pflugerville ISD community members are encouraged to learn more about what’s on the ballot in November; how the bond proposal was developed; what’s proposed in the VATRE and ACE; and how PfISD is able to fund capital projects while decreasing the district’s overall tax rate.
