ONE PFAMILY… MANY PFACES

Banner

In Pflugerville ISD, recognizing and appreciating cultural differences is a way of life. We will be utilizing this page throughout the year to honor and celebrate our many diverse groups in PfISD. (Please continue checking back for updates.)

We have 9 Beliefs in Pflugerville ISD which guide our decisions and growth, with our first belief being:

"Diversity is our strength."

All students and personnel are valued members of our unique family, each playing a significant role in our success. While the world around us may often face stereotyping, Pflugerville ISD encourages staff and students to embrace that which makes us different.

By supporting an environment that facilitates and encourages safe and open dialogue on diversity, and by empowering our students to embrace their diversity, we are striving to ensure that our students will be sincerely open and equipped to work and live in a diverse world.

Speaking more than 69 languages and dialects, Pflugerville ISD is one of the most culturally diverse school districts in Central Texas and we consider that to be a strength! Over the years, the exponential growth of our district continues to change the face of diversity in Pflugerville ISD.

Based on our belief that what makes us different can make us strong, Pflugerville makes efforts to embrace diversity. These efforts include:
  • Awareness of the characteristics of diverse groups
  • The realization that diversity encompasses more than ethnicity
  • Respecting and appreciating difference
  • Producing a healthy diverse system demonstrating, acceptance, appreciation, respect, tolerance
