Mission

 Prepare students to...

Meet students' learning needs:

  • Practice navigating health information available to students.

  • Develop goals and values for the individual.

  • Provide relevant and developmentally appropriate experiences.

  • Emphasize the critical role of health in everyday life today and in the future.

Develop health literacy:

  • Emphasize critical thinking and writing.

  • Integrate the disciplines.

  • Identify individual goals and needs and strategies to meet them.

 In compliance with HB1525, SB9, SB 12, and TEC 28.004:

  • Guardians must provide consent for their student to receive instruction for specialized topics such as child abuse, family violence, dating violence, sex trafficking, and human sexuality.

    • Teachers will communicate dates of instruction at least 2 weeks before instruction begins.

  • Students who do not participate in instruction will not receive disciplinary or academic penalties.
  • Guardians may view topics and materials that are used for instruction.
