ESSER: Minimum Required Set-Aside
PfISD will set aside at least 20% or more of the ESSER III funds for learning loss mitigation. These funds will be used to support activities directly targeting students from low-income families, students of color, English learners, children with disabilities, students experiencing homelessness, children in foster care, and migratory students. Based on stakeholder feedback, these activities may include, but are not limited to:
- Afterschool programming, tutoring
- Social-Emotional resources and training
- Additional campus and district staff to support teacher's professional learning
- Summer School
- Accelerated Academies
- Extended day/year programs
- Trauma-informed support and training
- Restorative practices support and training
- Math support and training
- Reading Academy support and training
- Intervention programming
- Support and training to empower families with struggling students
- Smaller teacher-student ratios
