New Teacher Orientation (NTO) 2026

NTO (New Teacher & Professional (Exempt) Staff Orientation) is on July 29 & July 30, 2026

NTO is designed for all new-hire* teachers and professional staff joining the Pflugerville ISD Pfamily for the 2026-2027 school year, regardless of prior years of classroom teaching experience.

*Rehire teachers and professional staff should plan to attend NTO 2026 unless they were employed with PfISD for the 2025-2026 school year in a comparable position.

NTO Day 1 : Wednesday, July 29, 2026

  • 7:45 AM - 12:00 PM = Campus Orientation @ your Home Campus
  • Lunch On Your Own
  • 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM = District Orientation @ Weiss High School, Performing Arts Center

About NTO

  • At Campus NTO, you'll be onboarded with your new Campus Administrators at your new Home Campus. 
  • At District NTO, you'll be onboarded with our District Leadership and will spend time with your District Curriculum Support Teams, access important online systems and resources, and learn how we support all of our learners in PfISD from our Special Education, Multilingual, and Instructional Support Teams. Lunch will be provided on Thursday, July 30th!
    • Breakout sessions will be divided by grade-bands and/or content areas and will have options for experienced vs. novice teachers.
    • Non-teaching Professional (Exempt) staff positions will spend time with their District-level Department Leaders during NTO breakout sessions that target the roles and responsibilities of classroom teachers.

Device Checkout for Teachers

We are hosting teacher device pickup at the PfISD Learning & Technology Center (LTC: 1601 W. Pecan St) on the following dates:

Teacher Device PickUp Schedule

  • Monday, July 27: 1:00-5:00 PM
  • Tuesday, July 28: 8:00-5:00 PM
  • Monday, August 3: 1:00-5:00 PM

Important Requirements:

  • This pickup is only for teachers.
  • Teachers must be completely processed through HR and appear in our inventory system, Incident IQ, to check out a device.
  • District ID and E-number (e#) need to be provided for verification.
