2027 Plan Options: Healthcare Highways
MDLive - Virtual Care is Moving to Frontier
Beginning January 1, 2027, MDLive will no longer be offered as a virtual care option through PfISD medical plans. Instead, employees and eligible dependents enrolled in a PfISD medical plan will have access to virtual care through Frontier Direct Primary Care at $0 cost. Through Frontier, members will have another convenient way to receive care without the copays, deductibles or coinsurance that may typically apply when accessing care through the medical plan.
HSA - No Longer Offered for 2027
Beginning with the 2027 plan year, PfISD will no longer offer a Health Savings Account (HSA) option. Employees will not be able to make new HSA elections or receive HSA contributions through the District for the 2027 plan year. Additional information will be provided to current HSA participants regarding their existing accounts and any action they may need to take before the end of the 2026 plan year.
FSA
If you were enrolled in a General, Limited, or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, your WES FSA debit card will deactivate on December 31, 2026. You will have a 90-day run out period to submit claims for eligible expenses incurred prior to January 1, 2027. All claims must be submitted through WEX participation portal before the end of the run-out period.
In 2027 PfISD will be offering FSA administered by FFGA. Look for your new FFGA Benefits Card in a plain white envelope. Card purchases will automatically deduct from your 2027 FSA contributions.
