Pathways in Technology through Early College High School (P-TECH) Academies in 2022-2023
The Computer and Information Technology (CIT) Academy at Connally High School and the Pfuture Teachers Academy at Weiss High School will welcome rising ninth (9th) grade students beginning summer 2021. P-TECH students will have the opportunity to graduate high school with an Associate’s degree in Computer Programming (CIT Academy) or Teaching (Pfuture Teachers Academy) as well as receive industry-based certifications and work-based learning experiences with local business and industry partners.
P-TECH is open to all rising 9th graders, regardless of which middle school they currently attend. Students accepted into a P-TECH Academy will become transfer students to Connally High School for CIT Academy or Weiss High School for Pfuture Teachers Academy.
- District transportation will be provided to all students residing within Pflugerville ISD limits.
- Each academy has 60 seats available; should we receive more applications than we have seats a weighted lottery will be used to determine admission.
- Students who have been historically under-represented in collegiate coursework are strongly urged to apply.
Please visit the CTE Program Guide 2022-2023 for details!
P-TECH Academy applicants do NOT need to complete the intra-district transfer application.
Students admitted as a P-TECH Academy participant will receive transfer guidelines in follow-up communication to the admission notice.
The transfer guidelines must be reviewed, signed, and returned to the District by the student and parent(s)/guardian(s).
