Annual forms for returning students are required for every student each school year. Parents of returning students received an email in the Spring asking them to complete the three forms available online through the Skyward Parent Portal. These forms are: Student Verification, Student Health and Chromebook Loan Agreement. If your student’s annual forms have not been completed, please access your Skyward Family Access account now.
Class Schedules and Teacher Assignments Each school has its own method for notifying students of class schedules and teacher assignments. There are generally times and dates scheduled for students and parents to go to the campus to receive information and meet teachers before classes start and for open house nights after school begins.
Dress Code Pflugerville ISD’s student dress code supports equitable educational access, prevents disruption, minimizes safety hazards, and maintains a positive learning climate. Review the Dress Code for the 2022-2023 school year.
Family Access Family Access through Skyward is an online information system that allows parents/guardians and secondary students access to view student information such as attendance records, class schedules, assignments, and grades. Elementary parents/guardians can find their student’s attendance records, student ID, transportation information, and class schedule.
First Day Packets Your campus may send students home with a first-day packet. This could include paperwork that requires parent/guardian signatures and information about campus life.
Food Services Campuses offer a student breakfast and lunch program. View school menus. Staff follows enhanced food preparation and distribution safety protocols.
As part of enhanced safety at campuses, beginning in the 2022-2023 school year, all Pflugerville ISD campuses will no longer accept deliveries from meal delivery services or restaurants for student lunches. And, campuses will no longer have drop-off tables for student meals. Parents may still bring outside food for their children if they plan to deliver the meals directly to their child’s designated lunch period. All guests are required to follow existing safety protocols and check in with ID at the front office.
PTA/PTO Parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, staff, community members — anyone who wants to help children can join their campus’ PTA or PTO. Visit your campus website or contact their front office to learn more about their parent organization.
School Supplies Please visit our website for a list of school supplies for elementary and middle school students. There are no school supply lists for high school students. Teachers will inform students on their first day of school if there are any particular supplies needed for class. However, pens, pencils, and notebooks are generally required. If you have questions about school supply needs for your student or if you purchased prepackaged school supplies from the campus PTA, please ask your student’s teacher.
Stay connected with what’s happening at your student’s school by joining the campus parent organization (PTA or PTO), reading school newsletters, and visiting the campus websites or District website. Schools and the District use social. Media to share students’ and staff achievements as well as other relevant community information and events.
Board of Trustee Meetings Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are usually held on the third Thursday of each month (except for July) at the PfISD Board Room in the Administration Building beginning at 7 p.m. Attend meetings in-person or stream online via links on the District’s website.
District News August through June, the District emails a weekly newsletter, the PfISD Parent Pflyer, highlighting important news you need or may want to know. Parents and guardians of students who attend a District school will automatically receive District newsletters. Additionally, a copy of the Pflyer can be found on the Parent page of the District website.
Welcome! We’re delighted that you’re going to join the Pflugerville ISD Pfamily! PfISD builds school boundaries based on geographic location and proximity to campuses. To determine your child's home campus, please click on the attendance map and input your home address.
During the enrollment process, you will need to provide proof of address, proof of age of the student, and the student’s immunization record to the school; for high school students, also provide transcripts for grades 9-12. Call your school’s Registrar for more details or if you need assistance.
Transfers PfISD has multiple programs on high school campuses that are open to students who are zoned for a different campus. If your child is interested in transferring to another campus for a specific program, please visit our in-district transfer page for more information, or visit your school counselor.
Pflugerville ISD also accepts transfers for students who reside outside of the district. If you live outside of the district and are interested in attending a PfISD campus, please learn more about our out-of-district transfer process.
Immunization Information Students must be up-to-date on all required immunizations before starting school, and the proof is required at the time of enrollment. Free and reduced cost immunizations are available through a variety of local agencies. For more information, call Pflugerville ISD Health Services at 512-594-1980. Immunization Information.
Student medications Students with daily medical needs will be administered medication by the school nurse. Forms to request administration of medication and a food allergy and anaphylaxis emergency care plan is available on the District’s health services website.

Campus Entrances While on campus, all visitors are required to check in at the front office. Visitors should be prepared to show their ID and state the nature of their visit to the front office staff.
Clear Bag Policy As an effort to improve safety and security, PfISD enforces a clear bag policy at all events held at the Pfield. These include varsity football games, band marching contests, and other highly attended events.
School Safety Zones School zones are put in place to ensure children’s safety in and around schools. While traveling in school zones, reduce vehicle speed, expect increased traffic, be on the lookout for buses and high concentrations of pedestrians, obey crossing guards, traffic and police officers. Nothing is more precious than the life of a child. Slow down, pay attention, and ensure students’ safety as they travel to and from school.
Student Code of Conduct Students should be mindful of their online and offline behavior, and how it can affect themselves and others – Review the Pflugerville ISD Student Code of Conduct. “David’s Law information,” or” Senate Bill 179 makes it a Class A misdemeanor and allows a temporary injunction against social media accounts used to electronically harass or cyberbully someone under age 18 through text message, social media, websites, or other means with the intent of causing them to commit suicide or harm themselves.
Absences add up, and lost time in the classroom is a lost opportunity to learn. Please schedule appointments late in the day and vacations or family trips during District holidays. Having your student in school as frequently as possible positively impacts your student’s academic and social performance, as well as resources made available to the District. Refer to the District’s Academic Calendar.
Know in real-time where your child’s bus is and have the most accurate information about your child’s bus schedule in the palm of your hand. In order to use the software, you, as a parent or guardian, will need to have submitted a valid e-mail to your child’s campus.
In order to use the Stopfinder App, you will receive an invitation from the PfISD Transportation department. Invitations are sent out periodically to parents or guardians of students, whose Stopfinder accounts have not yet been activated. Before contacting the transportation department, check your email box for an invitation email with the follow details:
Receive push notifications related to your child’s bus schedule and any changes
Get real-time information on the location of your child’s bus by creating your own alert zones with the upgrade to GeoAlerts
Notice bus substitutions because they are clearly indicated – reducing misinformation and confusion
Track multiple buses, a great feature if your children don’t ride the same bus
Know exactly when your children arrive at school or at home
Provide parents and caregivers with multilingual options in the app
If you have not received an invitation to Stopfinder, please email the Transportation Department at firstname.lastname@example.org
Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to volunteer at your student’s school. Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application/background check each school year and are encouraged to complete an application at the beginning of the school year. After your application has been successfully processed, you will be eligible to volunteer in our schools.
