Visiting the School

When visitors are allowed on campus again. The following procedures will be followed:  Visitors to the school are required to provide a driver’s license or another picture identification in order for them to be registered in Raptor, our security software.  Only visitors that are approved through the Raptor system are allowed on campus.

 

Attendance and Tardy Policy

Arriving on time to school is very important.  Learning starts at 7:35 and lasts until the bell rings.  Students should not be picked up early unless there is a medical reason for them to leave early. Attendance at all grade levels from Pre Kinder to 5^th grade is important.  Students should only miss school if they are sick or in a required quarantine due to COVID exposure.

 

Students who are not in the building after the morning bell are considered tardy.  The doors will be locked, and the student will have to go through the office for a tardy slip.

 

Students who are sick should be fever-free without medication for 24 hours prior to returning to school.  Parents are asked to provide the school with a doctor’s note or a parent note when a child is out sick.  The note should be received by the school within 3 days in order for the absence to be excused.  If a note is not received within 3 days, the absence will be counted as unexcused.

 

Due to the pandemic, parents should follow COVID-19 procedures regarding possible exposures to positive cases and notify the school immediately if his/her child has been exposed to positive case.

 

Birthdays

Due to COVID protocols the school is not allowing food to be distributed or shared so please do not send cupcakes or treats to the school for your child's birthday. Students are announced on morning announcements when it is their birthday. 

 

Communicating with Teachers

Teachers are available to meet and return phone calls during their conference time or after school.  They are not available to conference with you before school starts.  You may call the office, and our staff will help you with reaching a teacher when they are not responsible for instruction.

Visitantes en la escuela

Cuando se permite recibir visitantes los siguiremos con los siguientes procedimientos: Todos los visitantes tienen que traer la licencia de conducir u otra identificación estatal, para poder recibir un pase de visitante, ya que utilizamos el sistema de seguridad de registro de visitantes llamado RAPTOR. Solamente a los visitantes aprobados a través de este sistema se les permitirá entrar al edificio.

 

Ley de asistencia y retrasos

Es muy importante llegar a la escuela a tiempo. El maestro empieza a impartir las clases a las 7:35 y termina hasta que la campana de salida suena. Los estudiantes no deben ser recogidos de la escuela temprano a menos que sea por motivos de salud. La asistencia escolar es sumamente importante para todos los grados, desde enseñanza temprana hasta 5to grado. El estudiante solo debería faltar cuando está enfermo.

Si la campana de entrada suena y su estudiante no está dentro de la escuela, a dicho estudiante se le dará una nota de tardanza en la oficina, ya que las puertas de acceso al interior de la escuela se cierran.

Si un estudiante se ausentó porque tenía fiebre, podrá regresar a la escuela únicamente si está libre de la misma y sin haber tomado medicamento para bajarla. Si su hijo estuvo enfermo se les pide a los padres de familia traer notas ya sea del doctor o usted puede escribirla. Una vez que el estudiante regresa a la escuela, usted tiene 3 días para entregarla en la escuela, si la nota no fue entregada dentro de estos 3 días, la ausencia del estudiante será contada como ausencia no justificada.

 

Debido al pandémia, padres deben seguir protocolos del COVID-19 si su hijo tiene una exposición a un caso positiva.  Notifique a la escuela inmediatamente.

 

Cumpleaños

Debido al pandemia la escuela no permite la distribución de comida en la escuela de otros niños.  Favor de no mandar pastelitos o otra comida en el cumpleaños de su hijo. En los anuncios por la mañana se menciona a los estudiantes que cumplen años. 

 

Comunicación con los maestros Los maestros están disponibles para reuniones con los padres o regresar llamadas durante su horario de conferencia o después de escuela. Ellos no están disponibles antes de que empiezen las clases. Puede   llamar a la oficina y el personal le ayudará a contactar a su maestro en su horario de conferencias.
