How can I get my student out of class for an appointment?
To avoid a long wait for your student in the main office (and so we won't have to interrupt valuable classroom instruction time), the preferred method is:
1) E-mail HHSAttendance@pfisd.net. as soon as you know the time and date of your child's appointment. Include the following information in your e-mail: Student name, ID #, reason student is leaving (doctor, dentist appointment or other), what day and time your student needs to leave, and a daytime phone number where we can reach you (information may be verified). A Permit to Leave Class will be prepared for them. Your student can pick it up before school in the Main Office. At the time they need to leave, they will present the form to the teacher.
OR
2) Send a note with your student to the main office before school. Please include the information requested above. They will be given a Permit to Leave Class to present to the teacher. Unless a student drives, parents are to come to the Main Office to sign out their student.

What is the cell phone policy?
On the first offense, a parent signature is required before the phone will be released. The main office is open from 8:00 am to 4:45 pm Monday through Friday.
The second offense carries a $15 fine and a parent signature.
On the third offense, the cell phone is kept until the end of the school year.
Please do not call your student during the day. They could get their phone confiscated answering your call! If you have an emergency and need to reach your student, please call the main office. We will be happy to deliver a message to your student in between classes.
