PfISD Offers Competitive Salaries!

Pflugerville ISD currently offers some of the highest Teacher Salaries in Central Texas.
PfISD also offers the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) as approved by House Bill 3 of the Texas Legislature.
Through the TIA, PfISD teachers have the ability to make up to an ADDITIONAL $21,148.

How were the salary schedules developed?
A market study was completed to compare positions in our school district with similar positions in surrounding school districts as well as private industry. Similar positions are placed in common pay groups based on the knowledge, skills, and effort required.

Why are some groups not placed on salary schedules?
The employee groups placed on salary schedules are based on the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) recommendations for such groups. The district is keeping with industry standard practices by placing those groups on salary schedules and other groups on a midpoint salary scale.

Can I use the current plan to determine what my pay will be in the future?
The salary scale applies only to the year for which it was approved. Each year, salary increases and changes to the salary scales are reviewed by the district administration, and ultimately approved by the Board of Trustees.

What about the insurance stipend all staff began receiving in January?
The $30 monthly insurance stipend has been embedded into the yearly salary for all staff. The stipend will no longer be reflected as a separate item on staff paychecks, but it will be included in the salary amount listed on the paycheck.
