Welcome to the Parmer Lane Library!
Classes in the library
Essentials, pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade will come to the library on a regular schedule for storytime lessons and to check out books. Older grades will have regular check out times and will schedule lessons to fit with their classroom curriculum and to work on projects. Students may also visit the library individually to check out new books with teacher permission.
Library catalog from home
You can access the Library Catalog from home. Log into Clever or click here.
To place a hold
Log into the Timmerman library catalog in the top right corner. Students use their regular computer login. Type in the title, author, or topic you’re looking for. Make sure it is ready to check out (1 of 1 available). Click on the title to read more about the book and click the Hold button if you would like it.
Checking a student's library account
Students can check their library account to see what materials they have checked out, when materials are dure, and if they owe fines. After you log in, click the "My Info" tab.
Ebooks and digital audiobooks
Log into Clever to get to Sora, Epic, EBSCO K-8 Ebook Collection, Tumblebooks, National Geographic Kids, and more! The Sora collection can also link to the Pflugerville Public Library's digital collection.
AR
If you are looking for books for your AR level, you can check the AR BookFinder. To see what we have at Parmer Lane, go to the catalog and next to Reading Programs, click Accelerated Reader. Then you can put in your reading range!
Overdue and damaged books
There are no fines for overdue books, but students cannot check out new books until until they return their overdues books. I will save books students choose for three school days so they can bring them back.
Fines will be charged for damaged and lost materials. You can create an account and pay from the Web Store on the district’s Parents tab. Refunds can be issued for payments over $5 if the materials are found and returned in good condition within one year of the payment (not including online fees). We can also make arrangements for reading or working off a library fine.
Parent Accounts
Would you like to check out additional books to share with your children at home? Contact Mrs. McCoy to set up your own account! While our school is closed to visitors, you can put books on hold from home or email me with a request. I will send books home with your child.
Donations
If you would like to donate books or maker supplies, please let me know!
If you have questions or need help, please call or email.
Stretch your mind! Read a book!
