Dessau Middle School to Host Meet & Greet for New Principal Alicia Ramirez

Dessau Middle School will host a Meet & Greet to welcome its new principal, Alicia Ramirez, on May 4 from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the campus.

The event will provide an opportunity for students, families, and staff to meet Ramirez, connect with one another, and mark the beginning of a new chapter for the school community.

Ramirez brings more than 20 years of experience in education, with a background spanning middle and high school settings, alternative education, and instructional leadership. She currently serves as assistant principal at Dessau Middle School, where she has supported classroom instruction, campus systems, and student achievement while helping lead initiatives in behavior management, safety, and compliance.

Throughout her career, Ramirez has held a variety of roles, including teacher, coach, and campus leader, with experience in subjects such as English, science, math, and physical education. She has also led efforts in student support programs, parent and staff engagement, and campus operations.

She holds a Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University.

Ramirez’s leadership approach emphasizes collaboration, equity, and continuous improvement, with a focus on supporting students, staff, and the overall school community.
