Pflugerville ISD is proud to announce the appointment of two dynamic leaders to guide its alternative education campuses: Dana Wilcott as the new Principal of PACE High School and Natasha Hayes as the new Principal of the Provan Opportunity Center.

“We are incredibly fortunate to welcome two highly accomplished and passionate leaders to serve our alternative education campuses,” said Dr. Quintin Shepherd, Superintendent of Schools. “Both Ms. Wilcott and Ms. Hayes bring a deep commitment to equity, innovation, and building strong school-to-home partnerships that support the whole child. Their leadership will be instrumental in creating safe, supportive, and empowering learning environments for all students.”

PACE High School
Dana Wilcott, a results-driven leader with a strong background in continuous improvement and restorative practices, has been named Principal of PACE High School. Wilcott most recently served as the Coordinator of Parent and Family Engagement in Pflugerville ISD, where she led strategic initiatives to enhance family engagement, improve bilingual communication, and provide support to Title I campuses across the district.

Previously, she served as the principal of the alternative high school in Hutto ISD, where she consistently maintained a graduation rate above 98%. Her leadership also resulted in a 67% reduction in discipline referrals and the development of impactful character education and professional development programs for staff.

Wilcott holds a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Public Relations from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in school counseling, ESL, and as a principal in Texas.

Provan Opportunity Center
PfISD also welcomes Natasha Hayes as the new Principal of the Provan Opportunity Center, the district’s Disciplinary Alternative Education Program (DAEP). Hayes has more than 15 years of experience in education, ranging from classroom instruction to campus and district-level leadership across Central Texas.

Most recently, Hayes served as the Administrative Supervisor for Campus Support in Austin ISD, where she supported over 50 campuses with special education programming, legal compliance, and instructional services. Her previous roles include Principal of Del Valle Middle School, Associate Principal at Manor High School, and Assistant Principal and Instructional Coach at Decker Middle School.

A strong advocate for holistic student success, Hayes draws from her own background growing up in inner-city Philadelphia and her work in schools serving diverse populations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Concordia University.
