Pflugerville ISD is proud to announce an expanded multilingual interpretation service for its 2025 graduation ceremonies. The district will provide live Spanish, Vietnamese, and Arabic interpretation to support families both in person and online.

For the first time in district history, families attending graduation at the H-E-B Center can access realtime interpretation in three languages by simply bringing their own headphones and connecting to the livestream on their phones. Those watching from home can also select their preferred language for the ceremony livestream.

Last year, PfISD proudly offered in-person Spanish interpretation at all high school graduation ceremonies and saw firsthand its impact on families. This year, the district is expanding access to include Vietnamese and Arabic, two of the district's other most spoken languages.

“When I graduated, my family from Chile was there, but they couldn’t understand the ceremony. They were present, but not truly included,” said Stephanie Sanyour Alvarez, PfISD District Interpreter and Translator. “It’s our district’s mission to ensure that every parent and loved one can share in the joy, meaning, and connection of these moments, no matter what language they speak.”

This initiative also marks a first for the H-E-B Center, as no other school district hosting graduation ceremonies at the venue offers this many language options for real-time interpretation.

“Our district proudly serves a multicultural community, and this is an important step forward for these families to hear their student’s graduation ceremony in their home language,” said Superintendent Dr. Quintin Shepherd. “This effort reflects our deep commitment to honoring every student’s journey and ensuring that all families feel seen, welcomed, and included in these meaningful moments.”

The graduation ceremonies will be held at the H-E-B Center on May 27, 2025. Families can find access instructions for the livestream and interpretation options at www.pfisd.net/graduation
