Pflugerville ISD's Early College High School (ECHS) program offers students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate degree simultaneously, setting them on an accelerated path to earning a bachelor’s degree. ECHS is hosted at Pflugerville High School.
Applications are open January 14 - March 31, 2025.

Enrollment Process
Step 1
Review information on the website and attend a parent information night.
Step 2
Complete the ECHS Application Form and Commitment to Program Expectations.
Step 3
Attend Student Interview.
Step 4
Students will be notified via email upon confirmation of their enrollment by May 1, 2025.

Program Details
Eligibility
- Open to all rising 9th graders in PfISD and surrounding areas through an application process.
- Applications will open from mid-January through March.
Host Campus
- Pflugerville High School (PHS) will serve as the host campus.
- All students who are accepted into ECHS will be transfer students to PHS regardless of zoning.
- All classes, including non-dual credit high school courses, will be at the host campus.
Transportation
- PfISD will provide transportation for all students living within the district boundaries.
Cost
- Tuition, fees, and books are free for participating students.
Curriculum
- Rigorous instruction and accelerated courses.
- Opportunity to earn up to two years of college credit while in high school.
Support
- All ECHS students will have a designated ECHS counselor, administrator, and coordinator.
- All ECHS students will be enrolled in AVID 1.
- Students will have access to Austin Community College’s (ACC) tutoring center, library, and supporting services.
