Band & Color Guard

PfISD is dedicated to ensuring every student graduates with one of the 3 Es - Employment, Enrollment, or Enlistment.
How do Band & Color Guard support this goal?

All students must complete at least one fine arts class in high school, and one year of band or color guard can satisfy that requirement. Two semesters of marching band will fulfill the required P.E. credit. Four credits in band or color guard courses qualifies a student for the Arts & Humanities endorsement. Advanced Placement Music Theory can earn college credit. Many colleges offer scholarships for students who participate in performing ensembles, regardless of their major. The skills refined in these classes transfer directly into college readiness, employability, or military service. Click here for more information.
