PfISD Food Services Awards
Pflugerville ISD Food and Student Nutrition Department Award "Team of the Year 2023" for Aramark South Region.
ARAMARK K12 Capturing Cost & Productivity District of the year 2019
During national Aramark meetings this summer, Pflugerville ISD Food Services was recognized as K12 District of the Year for Capturing Cost & Productivity.
“This award is a culmination of all our teammates working to ensure we are responsible with regards to ensuring both the district and Aramark see the benefits of our systems,” said Geoff Holle. “Through waste management, which reduces carbon footprint and reduced trash pick-ups, to energy management, as well as successful planning and oversight of our programs, we are proud of our collective and collaborative efforts.”
Since its inception, Aramark’s waste initiative has reduced waste by $200,000 annually, which also reduces the number of trash pickups at campuses for the district. Proper planning and strategic playbooks on a campus by campus basis to ensure our teammates understood the value of their efforts as well as successfully managing related Aramark initiatives, allowed for our collective recognition.
“I am proud of our team for continuing to lead the way with regards to managing our programs and initiatives,” said Holle. “It is just another way we are responsible stewards of our resources.”
Aramark's "40 Under 40" Recognition - Chef Stephanie Goodson, 2022

Best of the Bunch Award - February 2018
Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller recognized Pflugerville ISD with a Best of the Bunch Award for its achievement in the Texas Department of Agriculture’s 2017 Local Products Challenge.
Every October, the Local Products Challenge encourages school nutrition teams to incorporate more Texas products into meals and teach children about healthy lifestyles and Texas agriculture. Pflugerville ISD earned the award by meeting the highest standard of the challenge.
“Schools in the Local Products Challenge demonstrate a real commitment to combining nutrition education with support for their local economies and Texas’ bountiful agriculture industry,” Commissioner Miller said. “When a school meal includes products like citrus, lean beef or low-fat milk from Texas, it provides a lesson in healthy eating that lasts a lifetime and an economic boost that benefits the entire community.”
