Lunch Meals
A student lunch tray is made up of 3-5 Components. A component is one of the following: Fruit, Vegetable, Grain, Protein (also called meat/meat alternate), or Dairy/Milk.
Main Items as listed on menu count as 2 (grain and protein) components.
Please note that for Elementary lunch meals, Students can take a maximum of one serving of fruit. Any extra servings of fruit, will be charged $0.90. (100% fruit juice counts as a fruit component). For Breakfast, elementary students may take up to two servings of fruit.
Elementary School and Middle School (K-8) Lunch Meal Pattern
A student must take one (1) fruit or vegetable and two (2) other components.
Elementary: May take up to one (1) fruit, two (2) vegetables, main item, & milk
Middle School: May take up to two (2) fruit, two (2) vegetables, main item, & milk
A student must take one (1) fruit or vegetable and two (2) other components.
High School: May take up to two (2) fruit, two (2) vegetables, main item, & milk.Student may select 2 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit.
