The district has compiled a list of resources to help families or those who are in need of such services - Immigration Resources

The campus principal will be the point of contact with any law enforcement agency. The principal has been given guidelines and directions on who to contact at the District level to assist them.

In accordance with PfISD Policy GRA, our current practice regarding law enforcement visits is that law enforcement officials will not be allowed to access any student without parental consent unless required to do so by a subpoena, warrant, or other law.

Please have your student speak to their Campus Counselor or their Social Worker with any fears or questions.

The school administrator or counselor will attempt to contact the parents, guardians, or emergency contacts on record. We ask that all families go to their parent portal in Skyward to ensure they have all parent information and emergency contacts updated. 

After several unsuccessful attempts by the campus administrator or counselor to reach a parent or emergency contact, the Pflugerville ISD Police Department will assist with locating the student’s family members with the authority to take custody of the student.

No, staff cannot assist families with completing legal documents. However, families may reach out to their campus social worker or the district’s Parent and Family Coordinator, Dana Wilcott, who can help connect them with organizations that may be able to provide this support.

While we understand the fear and concern families may feel, schools are required to follow state attendance laws. Absences for this reason cannot be excused, and we encourage families to reach out to their campus principal for support and resources.
