Bus Service
Pflugerville ISD provides free bus service for students who live more than two miles from their assigned school and for students who live within two miles but along a route defined as “hazardous” to walkers or bike riders. Use the School & Bus Route Locator to find bus routes. Simply type in your home address to see the closest stops, pick-up and delivery times, and bus numbers. For more information about transportation services, visit the District’s transportation website.

Stopfinder – Parent App

Know in real-time where your child’s bus is and have the most accurate information about your child’s bus schedule in the palm of your hand. In order to use the software, you, as a parent or guardian, will need to have submitted a valid e-mail to your child’s campus.

In order to use the Stopfinder App, you will receive an invitation from the PfISD Transportation department. Invitations are sent out periodically to parents or guardians of students, whose Stopfinder accounts have not yet been activated. Before contacting the transportation department, check your email box for an invitation email with the follow details:

With Stopfinder, you will:

• Know the schedule of your child’s bus
• Receive push notifications related to your child’s bus schedule and any changes
• Get real-time information on the location of your child’s bus by creating your own alert zones with the upgrade to GeoAlerts
• Notice bus substitutions because they are clearly indicated – reducing misinformation and confusion
• Track multiple buses, a great feature if your children don’t ride the same bus
• Know exactly when your children arrive at school or at home
• Provide parents and caregivers with multilingual options in the app

You can visit your school cafeteria or give the money to your student to pay with either cash or check (at no charge). The cafeteria staff will apply the funds provided directly into your student’s meal fund account. If paying by check, please make it payable to Pflugerville ISD Food Service, with your driver’s license number, phone number, student’s name, and student’s school ID number in the check memo field.

Pflugerville ISD also utilizes MySchoolBucks, where households have the option to pay online with a credit, debit card, or e-check. The credit/debit card transaction fee of $3.75 per transaction will be applied. The e-check transaction fee is $2.75. Visit MySchoolBucks.com or download their app.

OnePay allows parents to pay a one-time fee upfront and then make unlimited payments from their checking account over the course of the year. There are no spending limits and no additional processing fees at checkout. The yearly OnePay fee is $12.95/student; $25.90/two students; or $26.96/three or more students.

To update your membership to OnePay, you can:

1. Log in to myschoolbucks.com
2. Click your name and select My User Profile
3. Click Update Membership in the My Memberships box
4. Choose a Membership Plan
5. Enter your Checking Account information

Accounts through MySchoolBucks are free. There is only a fee to perform an online money transaction. Transactions made through the school cafeteria are free of charge and can be managed at no cost through MySchoolBucks. Other features such as low balance notifications, access to your student’s cafeteria meal history, and managing accounts for multiple students are free.

Families with students at non-CEP (Community Eligibility Program) campuses must submit an application to receive free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). Click here to apply.

If your child attends one of the 12 CEP (Community Eligibility Program) campuses, all meals are free automatically. We just ask you to complete a short Socioeconomic Information Form.

The Extended Day Program is a tuition-based, licensed childcare operation that services each elementary campus within the district. This campus-based program will allow for a seamless transition from the classroom to after school care for students in grades PK-5. The intent of the Extended Day Program is to not only provide a safe environment but also an atmosphere in which the school experience of the student is enhanced. The Extended Day Program is owned and operated by the school district and employees of the program work for Pflugerville ISD. Click here to register.

PTA/PTO

Parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers, staff, community members — anyone who wants to help children can join their campus’ PTA or PTO. Visit your campus website or contact their front office to learn more about their parent organization.

Throughout the year, there are many opportunities to volunteer at your student’s school. Volunteers are required to complete a volunteer application/background check each school year and are encouraged to complete an application at the beginning of the school year. After your application has been successfully processed, you will be eligible to volunteer in our schools. Everyone must submit a new Volunteer application every year. All applications expire June 30 and can be renewed starting July 1.

Stay connected with what’s happening at your student’s school by joining the campus parent organization (PTA or PTO), reading school newsletters, and visiting the campus websites or District website. Schools and the District use social media to share students’ and staff achievements as well as other relevant community information and events.

Board of Trustee Meetings

Regular meetings of the Board of Trustees are usually held on the third Thursday of each month (except for July) at the PfISD Board Room in the Administration Building beginning at 7 p.m. Attend meetings in-person or stream online via links on the District’s website. 

Campus Communication

Teachers, staff and your principal will communicate in a few different ways. Staff can text and email parents through a secure district-approved system. You will also receive periodic newsletters. Reach out to your campus front office if you believe you are not receiving communications you are expecting.

E-Flyers

Pflugerville ISD uses the e-flyer distribution system, Peachjar. E-flyers are sent directly to your email, making them an environmentally friendly way to connect school, family, and community. For your convenience, email frequency is customizable. Register for a Peachjar account if you aren’t receiving eflyers.

The Pflyer

August through June, the District produces a monthly magazine highlighting student and staff accomplishments and sharing important district news. The Pflyer is sent digitally to all families and staff, and available on our website. Read The Pflyer Monthly Magazine.

Some communications, such as attendance calls, and urgent messages from the district will come through a platform called Mass Notifications. These can be calls, emails, or text messages. Learn more about PfISD Text Messages.

Counseling Services

School counselors are present to support the mental health needs of every student across the District. Parents and students may find resources on the counseling services website.

Social Work Services

School social workers are licensed mental health professionals who can assist with student mental health concerns, and provide support for students and families' physical and emotional needs. They serve as liaisons between school, home and the community, and help to remove barriers to learning. Visit the Social Work page for more information. 

Immunization Information

Students must be up to date on all required immunizations each day they are enrolled in PfISD. Proof of immunizations is required at the time of enrollment. Free and reduced-cost immunizations are available through a variety of local agencies. For more information, call PfISD Health Services at 512-594-1980.

Copies of vaccinations updated during the summer may be sent to shots@pfisd.net. Please include the student's name, date of birth, grade, and campus in the email, along with a copy of the shot record.

Student medications

Students with daily medication needs must complete a Medication Administration form on the Health Services website. All requests for medications must have an MD signature on the form. No medications will be given without an MD and parent signature.

The PfISD Health Services website also contains forms for asthma, anaphylaxis, food allergies, diabetes, and seizures.

Anonymous Alerts

Pflugerville Independent School District is pleased to utilize a communications tool called Anonymous Alerts® for anonymous reporting of behaviors on campuses. Reports such as bullying, cyberbullying, depression, dating violence, drug or alcohol use, threats against the school, weapons on campus, and more can be made online or via a mobile app. All messages submitted remain completely anonymous.

To send a report from your phone:

• Download the Anonymous Alerts® app for free from the Apple Store, Google Play store, or the Chrome store
• Start the App, enter login: pfisd and password: pfisd
• Send important reports to school officials
• Add a screenshot, photo or video about the incident 

Campus Entrances

While on campus, all visitors are required to check in at the front office. Visitors should be prepared to show their ID and state the nature of their visit to the front office staff.

Clear Bag Policy

As an effort to improve safety and security, PfISD enforces a clear bag policy at all events held at the Pfield. These include varsity football games, band marching contests, and other highly attended events.

School Safety Zones

School zones are put in place to ensure children’s safety in and around schools. While traveling in school zones, reduce vehicle speed, expect increased traffic, be on the lookout for buses and high concentrations of pedestrians, obey crossing guards, traffic and police officers. Nothing is more precious than the life of a child. Slow down, pay attention, and ensure students’ safety as they travel to and from school.

Student Code of Conduct

Students should be mindful of their online and offline behavior, and how it can affect themselves and others – Review the Pflugerville ISD Student Code of Conduct. “David’s Law information” or "Senate Bill 179" makes it a Class A misdemeanor and allows a temporary injunction against social media accounts used to electronically harass or cyberbully someone under age 18 through text message, social media, websites, or other means with the intent of causing them to commit suicide or harm themselves.

Absences add up, and lost time in the classroom is a lost opportunity to learn.

Please schedule appointments late in the day and vacations or family trips during District holidays.
