Superintendent serves at Panelist at Austin Chamber State of Talent and Education
Pflugerville ISD Superintendent Dr. Shepherd was featured as a guest speaker at the Austin Chamber of Commerce's annual State of Talent and Education luncheon on September 5. The event, which brought together key leaders and stakeholders from across Central Texas, focused on current trends in education and workforce development, emphasizing partnerships between schools, employers, and city-driven initiatives.

Parmer Lane ES Kicks Off Brighter Bites Program
Parmer Lane Elementary School proudly launched its first Brighter Bites event earlier this month. It became the inaugural campus in Pflugerville ISD (PfISD) to bring this impactful nutrition program to its families. The event served approximately 150 families, and the school provided fresh fruits and vegetables to promote healthier eating choices and foster a stronger community connection.

PfISD offers free breakfast for all students, free lunch at 7 qualifying campuses
PfISD is happy to announce that the district will continue to provide free breakfast to all students at all campuses and that seven PfISD campuses have met the Federal and State qualifications to provide free lunch to its students. Additionally, district officials urge all families to complete the necessary applications and forms to ensure students have access to free and reduced-price meals for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

PfISD approves 2% raise, $17 minimum wage
The Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees approved salary increases for the 2024-2025 school year at the April 18, 2024 board meeting. In addition to a comprehensive 2% raise of the pay range midpoint for all employees, PfISD also increased the minimum hourly wage to $17 with placement scale adjustments for all PfISD employees.
