National Walk to School Day
On Wednesday October 7th millions of students, parents, teachers and community leaders will join together in celebration of National Walk to School Day. The walk to school is more than just getting out with children and walking to school for an event. The even has many more goals to help bring change in communities.

Flu Mist immunization again will be provided by Healthy Schools at no cost to the district or families of PfISD middle and elementary school students.

Campus Visitors
River Oaks Parents and Visitors, please note that when you are visiting the campus, you must come to the front office to sign in before going anywhere in the school. This includes the playground. Please bring your driver's license or state ID card to the front office to be scanned. All visitors must be scanned into the RAPTOR system before being allowed up the hallways. Thank you for understanding and for helping us keep our campus a safe place for our kids to be!

Meet the Teacher Night
River Oaks will be having our "Meet the Teacher Night" on Monday, August 24th from 4:30-6:00. Bring your child's school supplies and meet your teacher. Please join us as we start our new year!

Calling All Volunteers!!!!!
It's that time again! Time for parents or any relative who wants to be involved in your child's classroom to sign up online to be a school volunteer for the 2015-2016 school year. Once you are approved to volunteer, you can help your child's teacher, go on field trips, help out during class parties, volunteer for book fair, etc. The possibilities are endless! Please take a few moments to fill out the easy online application. You will receive email confirmation once it has been processed. Just click on the "Volunteer Application" link under the General Information section of this page. We thank you for making a difference in the lives of our students.
