Hendrickson Art Students Advance to State VASE

Hendrickson art students participated in Region 13N Area Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) and received top scores, including three students who will be advancing to State VASE in April.

VASE is the Art equivalent of a UIL event through Texas Arts Education Association. Students create a meaningful piece of art, write an artist's statement, and interview with a VASE juror at the region level. Students are scored on how well they interview and the quality of the artwork. Students who receive a score of 4 earn a medal and their piece is eligible for Area judging, which determines what pieces will compete at the State level.
