Dessau Middle School students are not just learning from textbooks and lectures but are also applying their knowledge and skills to create fun, meaningful, and educational projects.

Through collaboration across different areas of study, students are exploring new and innovative ways to showcase their creativity and learning.

For example, Mrs. DeLeon’s art students recently worked on transforming shoeboxes into miniature parade floats. They collaborated with Mr. Guerra’s Gateway 2 class and Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a technology course, to motorize the art floats. The result was a fantastic display of teamwork and creativity. Such interdisciplinary collaborations not only provide students with a holistic learning experience but also equip them with skills that will be valuable for their future careers.
