The Pflugerville Independent School District (PfISD) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of four key leaders to its administration team. Hutcherson Hill and Dr. Chrysta Carlin have been named Assistant Superintendents of Schools, Dr. Mark Hill will serve as the Executive Director of Transportation, and Jonathan Lamb has been selected as the new Athletic Director.

"With the appointment of Hutcherson Hill, Dr. Chrysta Carlin, Dr. Mark Hill, and Jonathan Lamb, we are welcoming an extraordinary group of leaders who embody our district’s values of innovation, excellence, and dedication,” Dr. Quintin Shepherd, Superintendent of Pflugerville ISD, said. “Their combined expertise and unwavering commitment to student success will undoubtedly propel Pflugerville ISD to new heights, ensuring that every student receives the highest quality education and support.”

Hutcherson Hill – Assistant Superintendent of Schools
Hutcherson Hill brings over 30 years of educational experience to his new role. Mr. Hill's extensive background includes serving as a teacher, coach, assistant principal, and principal at various levels, as well as holding several executive positions, most recently as the Executive Director for Student Affairs at PfISD. Mr. Hill is recognized for his leadership in turning around low-performing schools and implementing successful programs that enhance student achievement and school efficiency.

Dr. Chrysta Carlin – Assistant Superintendent of Schools
Dr. Chrysta Carlin joins PfISD with a robust history of educational leadership, most recently serving as the Assistant Superintendent of Pathways and Innovation at Leander ISD. With a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Texas Tech University, Dr. Carlin has been instrumental in establishing early college high schools and virtual learning academies. Her vision and commitment to innovative teaching and learning practices have significantly impacted student success and community engagement.

Dr. Mark Hill – Executive Director of Transportation
Dr. Mark Hill, currently the Director of Transportation for Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, brings extensive expertise in managing transportation logistics for large school districts. His leadership has been pivotal in optimizing transportation operations, ensuring student safety, and implementing cost-effective strategies. His experience and innovative approach will benefit PfISD's transportation department.

Jonathan Lamb – Athletic Director
Jonathan Lamb steps into the role of Athletic Director with a wealth of experience from his tenure as Senior Director of Athletics at Leander ISD. Mr. Lamb has demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing large-scale athletic programs, achieving numerous state championships, and enhancing professional development for coaches. His strategic approach and dedication to student-athlete development align with PfISD's commitment to excellence in athletics.
