¡Celebremos el mes de la herencia hispana! / Let’s celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!
Join us in celebrating the vibrant cultures and legacies of our ancestors from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central, and South America. The FIESTA goes from September 15 until October 15. This period also honors the independence of many Latin American countries and Día de la Raza (Columbus Day).
At Pflugerville ISD, we hold a deep commitment to honoring and preserving our rich Latino heritage. Across our district, we proudly offer Dual Language programs that serve as a nurturing ground not only for our students' linguistic versatility but also as a platform for fostering a profound appreciation of their own cultural heritage, as well as an exploration of diverse cultures from around the world.
In our district, we provide valuable resources for newcomers to the United States. We encourage you to learn more about our International Welcome Center and the Newcomer Academy.
Additionally, the Pflugerville community offers a range of support for Latino families, including free ESL classes for adults, social services, medical services, and food pantries.
Please visit our Hispanic Heritage Webpage for more PfISD news and celebrations for National Hispanic Month.
