February 24, 2023 - Pflugerville ISD Superintendent Dr. Doug Killian announced the hire of the next principal of Hidden Lake Elementary School during Thursday night’s Board meeting. With the hire, Barry Miller, current Parmer Lane Elementary principal, will open the district’s newest elementary located on the east side of the district near Lake Pflugerville.

“I have treasured my time at Parmer Lane Elementary,” Miller said. “I am so proud of the accomplishments of our staff, our students and our community as a whole. I will miss my Parmer Lane family, but I am also excited about this opportunity and the ability to continue to serve the PfISD community.”

Miller has served the Parmer Lane community for 18 years. He began in 2005 as Assistant Principal and then took over as principal in 2010. Prior to his time at Parmer Lane Elementary, he taught Texas and US history for 8 years at Pflugerville Middle School.

“Mr. Miller has proven himself to be an exceptional principal and we know he will bring a strong leadership to Hidden Lake Elementary School,” Dr. Killian said.

Miller will continue to serve as the PLES principal as district officials search for a new principal at Parmer Lane Elementary. The district will reach out to PLES parents for input as it moves forward in the process.
