Pflugerville High School (PHS) has been revalidated as an AVID National Demonstration School, a prestigious recognition awarded only to schools that use AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) strategies campus-wide to prepare students for success in post-secondary education and beyond.

The AVID program is a college readiness program designed to help students develop the skills necessary for success in higher education. AVID focuses on teaching students study skills, organization, time management, and critical thinking, particularly those who may be the first in their families to attend college.

To receive the AVID National Demonstration School recognition, schools must implement AVID strategies school-wide and demonstrate measurable success in preparing students for post-secondary education. 

Thanks to the AVID team's hard work and the PHS community's support, every student at Pflugerville High School now has a skill set that prepares them for success in post-secondary life.
