Panther News and Updates: October 30th, 2022
Posted by Philip Clayton on 10/30/2022 6:00:00 AM
Greetings Panther Community,
I would like to thank all of our staff, parents, students and community members for the preparation, donations, time, effort and energy in making our 2nd annual Pfall PFestival a success Friday night. So many people had a hand in organizing this event and that is what made it so wonderful, the process. A special thanks to my amazing Sr. Admin Associate, Sylvia Fernandez, for her hard work, organization and coordination of so many events and activities. We anticipated a better turnout, but it definitely exceeded most of our expectations. We will continue to make adjustments on things we can do better for next year.
Funds raised through this event will go to supporting more student activities we are planning through our PTO, National Junior Honors Society, Student Council and Student Leadership Groups.
Parents, we will not be allowing any costumes tomorrow (10/31), as we had our character day dress up through Red Ribbon Week last Friday.
As we enter November, there are some celebrations, reminders and events in the future to take note of below:

New Gym Bleachers Installed Soon: our current bleachers are pretty outdated and need to be updated. That time is quickly approaching. We are looking at the demo of old bleachers and new bleachers installed starting close to November 18th. Most of this work should take place over Thanksgiving break.
Advisory Schedule Changes throughout the Year: we have recently started targeted Tier 2 instruction for 6th grade math and will start 8th grade this week. Please know that we are using our Math and Language Arts teachers at each grade level to rotate stations for students needing acceleration based on last year's STAAR scores per House Bill 4545.
Thank you to everyone this week for your patience and flexibility. Please continue to reach out with any needs for your child.
Regards,
Philip
