Pflugerville ISD Athletics has released its updated fall high school sports plan, in accordance with the school district’s Return to Learn phase-in plan.
District Athletics is currently in Phase 1 of the high school plan. Student-athletes have been taking part in virtual learning during Phase 1, with no on-campus practices. Strength and conditioning camps have taken place before or after school.
Athletics Phase 2 calls for a return to in-person practice for students in football, volleyball, tennis and cross-country. It begins Monday and continues through Sept. 13.
Athletics Phase 3 coincides with the start of in-person classes, on Sept. 14. Cheer squads may begin practice and team sports not in season can begin workouts.
Athletics Phase 4 begins Oct. 13, with students in athletics classes required to attend in-person.
Pflugerville ISD began the 2020-21 school year on Aug. 13, with online classes only. School district board members last week set Sept. 14 as the start date for in-person learning.
