Students capture awards in state German contest

Nine Texas State German Contest (Digital Logo) Pflugerville ISD students captured awards at the Texas State German Contest earlier this year.

Camryn Ohe of Hendrickson High School won first place in the Crafts category. Fellow Hawk Itai Pomerantz placed fourth in the Sight Reading 4 category.

Connally High School students Easton Balboa and Eric Montes took second place in Digital Logo, while Natalia Colon of CHS also won second place, in Shirt Design.

Mayrin Hernandez of Connally garnered third place in Photo Essay. Also placing for Connally were:

  • Jeremiah Katongole: Fifth place (Poster Design)
  • Andrei Mihaiescu: Fifth place (Prose 2)
  • Cole Arnold: Fifth place (Prose 3)

Sixteen PfISD students qualified for the state German contest, including 11 Cougars. Mihaiescu qualified in two categories.
