Four PfISD educators named H-E-B Excellence in Education semifinalists

H-E-B recently announced four Pflugerville ISD faculty members were named semifinalists in the 2022 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards. The awards are designed to honor outstanding public school professionals and thank them for their dedication and commitment.

From more than 1,500 applications, 150 teachers and 50 principals were selected as award semifinalists this year. Among them were PfISD educators:

  • Principal Genia Antoine, Pflugerville Elementary
  • Teacher Kelsey Artz, Pflugerville Elementary
  • Teacher Brandi Spear, Pflugerville Elementary
  • Teacher Julie O’Neill, Bohls Middle School

Antoine has been in education for over 32 years, with the last 14 with Pflugerville ISD. She has been at Pflugerville Elementary since 2007.

Artz teaches second grade, while Spear is a dyslexia interventionist at PES. O’Neill teaches language arts at Bohls Middle.

Teacher and principal award semifinalists received complementary gift cards from H-E-B. Congratulations to each of our winners.
