Happy Friday. I hope everyone is well, staying safe, and keeping warm. 

Similar to a few years ago, when we had a bad winter storm, we know it affects families differently. Some families lost power, others had damages, and many lost trees.

I would love it if you wouldn't mind taking a second to send me a quick email at Zachary.Kleypas@pfisd.net to let me know how you and your family are doing. Especially if you are in need of anything. We at PHS would love to support however we can.

Congratulations - PHS UIL Academics:

PHS competed at the UIL Invitational Meet in Round Rock this last Saturday.  Please congratulate the following students and teams.

Individuals

• Sabastian Hamilton placed: 1st in Computer Applications.

• Kenneth Kalu placed: 2nd in Current Events, 4th in Social Studies, and 6th in Spelling

Congratulations - PHS Power Lifting:

The powerlifting teams competed in the Navarro Viking Invitational powerlifting meet on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023. Out of 12 teams that participated the girl's team placed 3rd and the boy's team placed 1st.

Congratulations - PHS Tennis:

• The Panther Tennis Teams hosted their varsity invitational last Friday.  

• Vincent Chau placed 2nd overall in singles

• Andy Le and Madison McArthur placed 3rd in Mixed Doubles

• Danny Ho was 4th in singles, while Ngan Nguyen and Katie Nguyen also placed 4th in doubles. 

• JT Washer and Mira Elmurr also brought home 4th place in Mixed Doubles.  

Congratulations - PHS FCCLA:

 

Congratulations to seniors Jason Le (President of FCCLA Chapter), Shelby Smith (VP of FCCLA Chapter) and Eva Gallegos (Secretary of FCCLA Chapter) who competed in the Regional FCCLA competition in Corpus Christi and took 2nd place in Chapter Service Project.  

 

They now qualify and move into State. Special thanks to the leadership and guidance of their teacher, Mrs. Kokes! Way to go Panthers!

Congratulations - PHS Spongebob Musical:

PHS performed its musical, Spongebob last week and it was amazing! Congratulations to all of the cast and behind-the-scenes tech crew who made this musical possible. Also, special thanks to the countless hours of work put in by our Theatre teachers Ms. Bohn and Ms. Wilson!
