The PMS Kickstart Karate team took 6 students to the State competition in Dallas this weekend. The team members were Abigail Scharf, Owen Wright, Julius Escamilla, Jordan Odu, Christian Lyra and Quincy Cathey. At the end of the day from the Thousands of competitors statewide  Julius Escamilla won 3rd in state in Sparring, Quincy Cathey Won Second in state and Jordan Odu won the state title in Traditional forms and Lost State Grand champion by only 1/10 of a point! The Kickstart Demo team also earned a Second place win in the Regional advanced demo team competition. Coach Fillmore wants to congratulate the whole team for their great accomplishment this year and look forward to building  on these successes next year!
