Cougar Families,

We hope you and your families are safe and well. Get ready for the Spring semester -- it will go by very fast.

As long as your students are well and have no symptoms of illness, it is important that they attend regularly.  We are working tirelessly to teach students responsibility and life skills of appropriately interacting with adults and each other.  Please encourage your student to be responsible and get to classes on time. One of our biggest challenges is truancy.   I encourage all parents to access Skyward and check grades and attendance. This is so important that graduation depends on it. Please encourage your students to engage in their learning.  If they do not earn their credits, they will not graduate.

At the Peer Tutoring Center, CHS students will have the opportunity to access student tutors– of varying ages & academic backgrounds - who have experience in the same classes and subjects as their peers.

Peer tutors will be able to support CHS students in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, LOTE & tasks, including (but not limited to):

  • understanding assignments & completing homework
  • studying for quizzes/tests & supporting general study skills
  • understanding tricky concepts
  • writing assignments & projects
  • navigating & completing makeup work
  • using school & classroom technology tools
  • SAT/ACT Prep – Math, Reading, & Writing

Tuesday and Thursday mornings (8:10 – 8:55)

Wednesday and Thursday afternoons (4:30 – 5:15)

We also have a late bus on Wednesdays for students who go to tutoring.
