As a substantial benefit to teachers, PfISD is approved through the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program to designate and reward our highest performing teachers. Within three years of employment in PfISD, eligible teachers can earn an additional TRS-eligible annual salary incentive up to *$18,372. National Board Certified teachers are eligible for an incentive within their second year of employment in PfISD.

As of February 2026, 27% of all PfISD teachers - 485 top-performing educators - are designated. With a 94% designated teacher retention rate, the district meets the primary TIA goal of retaining highly effective teachers in our classrooms.
